EuroDIG to debate current challenges to Internet governance

14-15 September, Geneva - The 2nd European Dialogue on Internet Governance will bring together some 200 representatives from the private sector, governments, parliaments, civil society including youth, media and international organisations.  Key issues to be discussed include access to the Internet, online privacy, cybercrime, critical Internet resources, social networks and net neutrality. Other topics will be the quality, reliability and responsibility of user-generated content and new media, the role of public service media, copyright issues as well as media literacy. Delegates will also speculate about what the Internet will be like in 2020.

Launch of the Anti-Discrimination campaign in Russia

16-17 September,  Moscow – The Anti-Discrimination campaign will be launched officially in Russia by Gabriela Battaini-Dragoni, Director General of Education, Culture and Heritage, Youth and Sport. Some 350 campaign posters and banners will advertise the campaign in Moscow. Russian footballer Andrei Arshavin has also given his support to the campaign.

19/09, Bydgoszcz ( Poland) - The Congress Committee on Culture and Education holds a seminar on ''Diverse cities, creative cities'' to be opened by the Mayor of Bydgoszcz, Konstanty Dombrowicz and by the President of the Committee, Karl-Heinz Lambertz. The idea of a creative city will be examined through the experience of Bydgoszcz and other European cities such as Linz (Austria), Vilnius (Lithuania) or Patras (Greece).
